FR12 - Water Chemistry in Challenging Pools

Friday, November 3 from 9:15 AM to 10:30 AM « Back

This seminar will provide tips on how to maintain water quality and the integrity of the pool surface and equipment as the pool water ages. Topic covered will include the difficulties encountered when testing aged water; coping with the upward drift in water quality parameters; and dealing with accumulated wastes and disinfection byproducts in the water.

1. Determine what to do when parameters reach values outside a range of a typical test kit.
2. Avoid testing errors or interferences that compromise key water balance calculations.
3. Identify options available when pool water cannot be replaced.
4. Implement methods and technologies to increase the efficient use and conservation of water.
for residential and public recreational pools, spas, portable spas and swim spas.
